Throughout the fall, Exposures participants are using photography to create, share and collaborate across geographic regions. Youth are making double exposures that respond to questions about their everyday life. Black & white and color film is exposed and sent from program to program to create a set of combined images that represents participants’ diverse communities. Participants are also learning to use creative tools to document and communicate about their lives, and discuss their photographs with youth across the country using our online exchange gallery.
Participating sites include The In-Sight Photography Project in Southern Vermont, Las Fotos Project in Los Angeles, CA, Little Wound School in Kyle, SD on the Pine Ridge Reservation, First Exposures in San Francisco, CA, The Academy at Charlemont in Charlemont, MA, and Philadelphia Photo Arts Center in Philadelphia, PA.
